The Gozo Collection is inspired by a design that was painted during the particularly hot summer of 1950 by a young, now long forgotten, guest of the de Trafford family at Villa Bologna. The cool rooms of the pottery were a reprieve from the heat of the Baroque gardens and the busy rooms of the Villa, and often guests would take to painting. This collection captures the magic of an endless summer spent in a Baroque palazzo during the 50s.

These retro designs have remained in our archives for the past 74 years and are now being reproduced in a limited number. The collection comprises handcrafted ceramic oval platters and dinner plates, featuring handpainted, playful fish and lobster motifs. We are launching 100 pieces of each item in the collection to celebrate our centenary at Villa Bologna Pottery and believe that they are wonderfully complementary to our iconic tableware designs.
